Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are part of the new Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling (GHS) of Chemicals whose objective is to standardize and harmonize the classification and labelling of chemicals. It is a logical and comprehensive approach to:

• Defining health, physical and environmental hazards of chemicals;
• Creating classification processes that use available data on chemicals for comparison with the defined hazard criteria; and
• Communicating hazard information, as well as protective measures, on labels and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).

Many countries already have regulatory systems in place for these types of requirements. The Hazard Communication Standard (HCS) requires chemical manufacturers, distributors, or importers to provide Safety Data Sheets, formerly known as Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), to communicate the hazards of hazardous chemical products.

As of June 1, 2015, the HCS will require new SDS to be in a uniform format and include the section numbers, the headings and associated information under the subheadings.

To date, Urocare is still using the MSDS format which can be found below and along side each product listed above. When the newer SDS are available, they will be listed below. Please check back periodically for updates. Thank you.
