Drain Valves and Adaptors
Quick Drain Valve™
A limited amount of finger or hand control is required to operate
these valves independently. Finger loops or a crossbar may be attached
to the lever for individual requirements -- see Figure 1.
Fits Urocare® reusable latex urinary leg bags only. Made with
pliable, white-rubber tubing and contains no metal parts which may
corrode or rust.
May be used as a replacement for the standard bottom drain valve
(No. 6004) supplied with all Urocare® latex leg bags.
- Lever operated for quick, controlled draining
- Theads are sealed to prevent urine from touching the skin while draining the bag
- Allows for quick, controlled drainage
- All working parts are urine free
- No metal parts or sharp objects
- Cut to desired length
Figure 1: Crossbar
An effective crossbar can be made by cutting 2" (5 cm)
from the bottom end of the drain valve tube and pushing one
end through the hole in the lever until centered, forming
a "T"-bar.
